You should not use c/o in this case. The mail should be addressed directly to you.

c/o is used when the mail is send to an organization, e.g., ABC Company, and you want to make sure it gets to the right person, e.g., “c/o HR Department” or “c/o Jackie Kay”.

What if I don’t live at the sending address but want my friend who lives at the sending address to receive a package for me?

Should I use his name, but I don’t want him to open my package.
