What is value accounting? How do I calculate it? Is it the same thing as responsibility accounting?

They aren’t the same thing, but are similar. Value accounting attempts to adjust the prices of line items to display actual current value rather than historical cost (difficult to do, values always change). Responsibility accounting seeks to provide financial statements commensurate with the firm, giving the ability of stakeholders to accurately asses the ability of the firm to perform its needed functions.
