    There are four basic functions:

    Planning – Determine goals; develop a strategy to achieve the goals; and design plans for implementing the strategy.

    Organizing – Organize people and resources; develop organizational charts to help everyone understand their roles and relations in the company.

    Leading – Working to guide and motivate employees to meet the company’s goals.

    Controlling – Monitoring a company’s performance to insure that goals are being met. Develope standards to evaluate costs and performance, making adjustments when needed.
