Is it possible to lodge a claim if vehicle #1 hit vehicle #2 which is from the same insured and policies covering third party liability only

    Unfortunately, not. The Insured can never be “the 3rd party” to him/herself, so the claims will not be entertained

      Had the policy been issued on a Comprehensive basis, then yes, claims for the respective vehicle could have been submitted, subject to the paying of an excess on each of the cars, as again, one can never “recover”debt/excess, from oneself.
