Stereotyping, unfortunately, is very common in life and in business. If we tend to stereotype groups then our tone and substance will change, even if we are not fully
conscious when we do it. Some groups seem to be stereotyped more than others. These group stereotypes can be very common:

    Blondes (dumb)
    Irish (drink a lot)
    Mormons (weird cult followers)
Black/African American (unintelligent or prone to violence)
    Muslims (are all terrorists)
    Jews (are all cheap)
French (condescending and superior to everyone else)
Women (emotional, men make better bosses, catty)
Men (inarticulate, insensitive, always get the breaks)

If you were to believe one of these, consider how you might talk to a women in business vs. a man. It is proven that pretty blondes do get talked down to and are thought to be dumb. How would you talk to Mormons or Muslims on a political stage.

Now I don’t believe in any of these stereotypes so no one get up in arms. These are some stereotypes that I knew or asked people here for feedback. It was all fairly consistent. I am sending you a link with some good insight into this issue along with a video embed.

    Good luck
