My dead husband was named in a risduary trust

My husband died in 1987 we were married for 11 years. His father died in the early 1970s and had set up a Trust for his 4 sons and thier mother was to live off the income of the trust. My husband died before his mother who just died in 2009.

My deceased husband and I had two children, and several years before my mother-in-law died she asked me to sign off on my portion of the trust. I refused to. I just recently learned that my deceased husbands bother put his portion of the trust in trust for my children with an age stipulation of age 35. Can he do done that with out my signing off.
