Can a Political Party also use a Business Model to generate revenue to support its activities?

There is a debate between opposing camps that a political party is NOT a commercial entity and as such cannot use a business model to generate revenue thereby commercializing their ideology. Can a struggling political party also use a business model to raise revenue?

Nothing precludes a political party from using a business model, however, such approach can be detrimental to its objective/ideology it is fused into core operations of the organisation. In essence a party can set-up a sub-structure that will be a fundraising vehicle that is commercially run. This also means that this vehicle would then have to be engaged strictly in commercial activities selling a product the profit of which will be donated to mother body. Fundraising by an non-profit organisation is not equal to selling a idelogy but, like in a church environment, it is to advance the idelogy. In conclusion, functionally a party cannot be commericalised, however, administratively it can.
