Definition
Boolean 'query operator' which retrieves a record or file only if it contains all keywords specified in a database search. For example, the search for "knowledge AND power" will return only those records that have both 'knowledge' and 'power' (in any sequence) in their text. Most search engines allow two or more AND in a search query. See also NOT and OR.
