American Economics Association (AEA)
Definition
An association formed in 1885 to encourage and facilitate economic research and discussion. The association, headquartered in Nashville, TN, is comprised of academic scholars, business professionals, government employees, and members of non-profit organizations that meet annually to discuss economic issues. The variety of benefits for being an AEA member includes access to various publications and continuing education on economic matters.
