Financial services corporation, which specializes in the issuance of credit cards to millions of individuals across the world. Outside of its credit cards services, the company offers a number of travel programs that allow American Express cardholders to receive certain privileges that other people may not be able to receive. American Express provides a wide range of credit cards that are geared to the cardholders spending habits. The company was founded in 1850 under a much different premise (an express mail business). Over time the company has evolved, providing more services to businesses as well as individuals.
