Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)
Definition
A professional organization, created in 1988, to assist in the reduction of fraud and white collar crime in the business world. Members of the association are provided with the education, tools, and training necessary to become certified fraud examiners. The association currently boasts nearly 55,000 members worldwide and is headquartered in Austin, TX.
