Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

A group of sovereign state representatives that meets to discuss economic and political matters concerning the southeast Asian region. Members include Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, Laos, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia and the Philippines. The group is responsible for stimulating investment in one another and creating trade agreements with non-member countries.
