Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Definition
An individual who investigates fraud. The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners grants certification after applicants pass a board exam. CFEs do have continuing education requirements. The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is largest anti-fraud organization in the world. It is located in Austin, Texas, and has operated since 1988.
