Chicago Board Of Trade (CBOT)
Definition
An exchange where futures and option contracts are traded on agricultural commodities, financial products, and industrial and precious metals. The CBOT was established in 1848 as an open outcry auction for agricultural products. Today it incorporates both a live auction system and fully electronic trading for more than 50 different products.
