Current Employment Statistics (CES)

Estimates of employment, hours, and earnings data by industry for the United States, each state, and most major urban areas derived from a monthly survey of about 140,000 businesses and government agencies conducted since 1939. State employment security agencies gather the information using guidelines provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
