DMAIC project
Definition
A business process improvement project that goes through the phases of Defining, Measuring, Analyzing, Improving, and Controlling (DMAIC). This approach, used in Six Sigma projects and other process improvement methodologies, works by identifying opportunities for defects, changing processes to minimize defects, and instituting control procedures to ensure that elevated levels of performance and continuous improvement are maintained.
