Definition
European system of typographic point sizes, not used elsewhere. One Didot point equals 0.376 millimeter (mm) whereas the UK and the US point equals 0.351 mm. There are 12 Didot in one Cicero. Created around 1780 by the French printer Francois Ambroise Didot (1730-1804).
