Market-capitalization weighted (see weight) indexes (indices) that measure the price changes in the shares of about 5,500 major international firms (including the 700 leading US firms) from 29 countries. These indexes together represent over 95 percent of the developed worldâÂÂs, and 80 percent of the developing economies', market capitalization.
