Elliott wave principle
Definition
In securities trend prediction, technical analysis concept that stockmarkets follow a pattern consisting of five waves up and three waves down. It is based on the observations of the US accountant Ralph Elliott (1871-1948) as described in his 1938 book 'The Wave Principle.'
