Employment Situation Report
Definition
A report that is compiled monthly by the United States Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics that shows a set of surveys with regarding the labor market. Information included in the reports consists of the unemployment rate, non-farm payroll employment, the average work week, and average hourly earnings for employees working in major industries.
