Foreign Trade Zone Act (FTZA)

Definition

Legislation that established Foreign Trade Zones, also known as Free Trade Zones, in the United States. Foreign Trade Zones as defined by the act are places where duty-free imports, including finished goods, components, and raw materials, may be displayed, stored, re-exported, or shipped to general US markets after applicable duties are paid.
