Fort Knox
Definition
United States military base located in Kentucky and considered to be highly secure and next to impossible to enter without clearance. The base serves as one of the main bases used for military training involving tanks. The term “Fort Knox” is also used to refer to the United States Bullion Depository, a building near the military base, which is a vault housing a large percentage of the United State’s gold reserves.
