Global Information Infrastructure Commission (GIIC)
Definition
Group of senior executives drawn from private firms engaged in developing, financing, and manufacturing communications and information technology products. Established in a 1995 in Brussels, its mission is to “foster private sector leadership and private/public sector cooperation in the development of information networks and services to advance global economic growth, education and quality of life.”
