Group of 3 (G-3) (Latin America)
Definition
A free trade agreement created in 1995 between Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela. In 2006 Venezuela chose to not continue with the agreement after joining the South American trade group Mercosur. This agreement covered such issues as the lowering of tariffs, easing of trade restrictions, public sector investments, intellectual property rights and many more. Also called G3 Free Trade Agreement.
