Indian employment credit
Definition
A dollar-for-dollar tax credit offered to companies by the federal government to hire registered Native American Indians and their spouses while living in (or near) a reservation, as well as being employed or performing the majority of their services within a reservation. The credit is limited to $20,000 per qualified employee per tax year, and employers must use IRS form 8845 to claim the credit.
