Adopted in 1957, this agreement lays down provisions regarding classification, packaging, labeling, and testing of dangerous goods shipped via road transport as well as training of vehicle crew and construction and approval of vehicles. It is based on the UN Modal Regulations On The Transport Of Dangerous Goods, and is structured on the pattern of International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
