International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)
Definition
An international organization established in 1977 as a result of the World Food Conference of 1974. The IFAD is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It provides agricultural development and financing to meet the needs of those in developing third-world countries who live in poverty to increase food production and education.
