International Labor Organization (ILO)
Definition
The agency of the United Nations that is involved in the interests of labor throughout the globe. Focusing on 18 themes, the ILO works with governments, businesses, and workers to create decent work environments. They also research and publish labor statistics. The agency won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1969.
