Definition
A Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) for the securities industry. In addition to licensing and oversight, NASD also provides mediation and arbitration services to resolve disputes between investors and brokerage firms, exchanges and industry professionals. See NASD Dispute Resolution, Inc.
