Purple Curve Effect

Definition

A strategy used by some businesses where the company focuses on making improvements to what they consider to be the "weakest link" in the organization. Once the weakest link has been improved and is no longer the weakest link, the new weakest link is determined, and the process begins again. The term comes from the title of a book written by Jeff Kinsey and Thayer Bennett.
