Regional Development Bank (RDB)
Definition
A bank established with the stated purpose of providing investment capital for developing business and industry in a particular region. To qualify for a RDB loan a company does not have to use pre-existing assets for collateral; instead the project becomes collateral and the bank partners with the borrower to monitor successful project execution and loan repayment.
