Regulation FD
Definition
The Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) regulation that prohibits the selective release of material information about a company. Reg FD, as it is also called, attempts to level the playing field for all market participants by making it mandatory for companies to release information to all investors simultaneously. Sometimes referred to as the Fair Disclosure Regulation.
