S&P/Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price Index
Definition
The index used as the leading measurement of the residential housing market in the US. The Index tracks the changes in the residential real estate values across the nation and in 20 metropolitan regions. The indices are tabulated on a monthly basis. They are released on the last Tuesday of each month at 9am (EST) and are published with a two month lag time.
