Shapley value
Definition
A theory attributed to mathematician Lloyd Shapley, which states that costs and rewards are distributed among a number of participants in order of the importance of that each plays in the cooperative activity. Each participant does not gain less than what it would have by operating alone. For example, if three banks provide varying levels of financing for the construction of a retail mall, each would have a proportional right to monthly mortgage payments.
