U.S. House Financial Services Committee
Definition
A branch of Congress which oversees financial activity in the trading markets and U.S. economy. It is responsible for oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), U.S. Treasury Department, Federal Reserve Banks and financial regulatory bodies.
