Definition
The federal court system in the United States in which all bankruptcy proceedings take place. Bankruptcy courts are found throughout the country with several found in each state, covering specific counties or territories. Individuals or businesses going through the process of filing for bankruptcy will do so through the United States bankruptcy court.
