Creator and animator of the first animated films. Some of Disney's works include the most popular cartoon characters in history such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Walt Disney co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which has grown to be the biggest producer of animated and family focused films. Walt Disney and his brother Roy Disney expanded their successful enterprise in 1955 by opening Disneyland Amusement Parks. The Walt Disney Company currently operates two amusement parks in the United States and grosses around $35 billion. Walt Disney passed away in 1966 from complications brought on by lung cancer.
