US market capitalization weighted indices: (1) Wilshire 5000 equity index: measure of the entire US stock market comprising of 7000 stocks traded on NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX. (2) Wilshire 4500 index: Wilshire 5000 index minus the stocks listed in S&P 500. (3) Wilshire small cap: Measures the performance of 250 corporations with an average market capitalization of $933 million.
