Z shift
Definition
The difference found when comparing ZST and ZLT. A higher Z shift indicates a greater potential for increased control of the subgroups being tested and can be determined precisely for each process through the use of process capability analysis.
The formula for calculating Z shift is: ZST = ZLT + 1.5
