Definition
Action or inaction by a person that can be binding as an implied or indirect acceptance of a contract, whether or not such was his or her intention. Sale of goods received by a trader implies the trader's acceptance of their invoiced price, and not taking of any legal action by a landowner against a trespasser indicates an indirect acceptance of the trespasser's right to occupy the land.
