A written document that details all major concerns for acquiring goods, services or organizations. Typically addressing issues related to technological aspects, competition, funding, business concerns, management issues and other significant risk factors that could potentially impact the acquiring organization, an acquisition plan establishes a timetable and specific milestones for the effective execution of the process to mitigate risk.
