Definition
A company that provides shipments of goods for the benefit of a client but does not operate or own its own airplane. The consolidator will take the goods from the client and provide transportation to a third party aircraft operator. Air waybills are used to provide customers with confirmation their shipments where received and set on to freight by air. Tracking numbers are usually provided by the actual carrier.
