appurtenance lien
Definition
The right of a contracting-party to take possession of any structure or equipment attached to a piece of land or building such that it becomes a part of that property and is passed on to a new owner when the property is sold. This right would only be applicable or just, in the case that the owner of appurtenance and related property does not uphold their responsibilities stated within a contractual agreement.
