Definition
Lowest price which a dealer (market maker) is willing to accept for securities and financial futures. This is the wholesale price for dealer-to-dealer trading in an exchange or in over-the-counter market, and may not be available to the general public. Also called asking price, ask price, offered price, offering price, or offer price.
