attributes data

Data represented in discrete units (dollars, hours, items, yes-no options) which measure the presence or absence of an attribute or characteristic for a response variable. Number of defects per unit, for example, is attributes data. Charts that use attributes data include bar chart, pie chart, Pareto chart, and some types of control chart.
