bank lending survey
Definition
A questionnaire circulated by a country's central bank to obtain information on the current lending environment. The survey may ask about such things as the number of loans made, interest rates, and default rates. In the U.S. the Federal Reserve conducts quarterly bank surveys to help shape monetary policy.
