bar chart
Definition
Horizontal rectangles (bars) chart in which the length of a bar is proportional to the value (as measured along the horizontal axis) of the item (entity or quantity) it represents. Also called bar graph, it is used commonly to compare the values of several items in a group at a given point in time. See also Gantt chart.
