bare boat charter
Definition
A shipping agreement wherein administrative and technical assistance is not provided by the vessel owner. The charterer is responsible for providing crew, operating expenses, insurance and port expenses. In addition, the charterer is given control and possession with legal and financial responsibility during the agreement period.
