Traditional unit of finished roll of cloth. In general, one bolt is 91.44 meters or 100 yards long (a bolt of canvas is ... meters or 42 yards long) but the width varies with the type of fabric: cotton bolts, for example, are 1.067 meters or 42 inches wide, and wool bolts are 1.524 meters or 60 inches wide.
