buy-out payment
Definition
A payment that a participant in a cost contribution arrangement (CCA) receives from the other participants upon leaving the venture. A CCA is an entity formed to share the costs associated with developing or obtaining assets. The share of the departing participant is divided among the other participants in proportion to their contribution to the buyout payment.
